I'm not Iron Man ...

Posted by Captured In Time Studios (Hamburg, United States) on 12 May 2008 in People & Portrait.

If you ever thought trying to stop a runaway car rolling backwards down a hill from behind was a good idea ... well I can tell you it's not , because as I found out even if the car is only a little compact car ... The car will win EVERY TIME !

This happend last monday 5-5

I am starting to feel a little better , I am very lucky to be alive ... I saw the tire comming right for my mellon .... it graised my face but I don't think it ran over my head , I don't know for sure exactly what happened but I guess I must have had an angel with me because other than lots of road rash and bruised ribs ... I am still here .... the car even ran over my arm and hand ( but no broken bones), I have the tire tracks to prove it ...lol
I don't think I will ever get rid of that car now , I have grown very ATTACHED to it ! ! ...lol... (ouch)

My ribs are actually hurting worse it seems than they did on tuesday the day after the accident ... I am using a heating pad and taking the ibuprofen and the vicadin but this is only a temporary fix ... does anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks for checking out my pictures , feel free to leave a comment if you want .

Have a great day .

Great set of photos. Unfortunat how you obtained such an interesting set of photos tho :(

hummm yes vicadin and ibuprofen... very good for what has happened to you. Ibuprofen is the best and you are allowed up to 800mg per dose if needed. Just try to eat something with it because ibuprofren is not good for your tummy.

As for the heating pads... hummm i dont' think you are suppose to put heat on an injury :(
here i found some good info. Use ice my dear. use ice.

i hope your aches and pains go away soon.

Holy crap! Bless your heart!!! Take this from someone who just had two teeth pulled and an emergency room visit for an infection....Ibuprofen is an anti-inflamitory and vicodin is a mix of codeine and tylenol...just take them like prescribed but don't be afraid to ask your doc for something stronger if you are still in pain! Doctors don't want you to be miserable or take too much of one thing;) Other than that I believe time will be the cure and plenty of rest and keep up a nutritious diet...the body can't heal itself without a little tlc and good nourishment!!! :) God Bless!!!

Glad to see that you are still alive. But didn't you have your camera with you? We could have been blessed with some action shots! Perhaps you should go with the name, Man with 101 Lives, er 100 Lives?
Get well soon!

MaryB alerted us to send you our best wishes, well, here are mine, and it gave me also the opportunity to meet you, (...) (I think there isn't enough space to put 101 names here :). It seems you went through a needle's eye that's what we say in Holland. I think (I'm not a doctor) that your more hurting ribs are a sign that the muscle tissue is busy recovering, so it hurts more. I hope you'll get fully recovered soon and from now on I'll visit you regulary

Rob, you are a man with a strong spirit. I love the way you have been humorous and creative in showing us an event that could otherwise be depressing. Stay strong. Keep taking pics. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Well, in my opinion, you should go have some X-ray tests, just to make sure that there's nothing broken inside!And.....stay away from that car as long as is practically possible!
