Bald Eagle

Posted by Captured In Time Studios (Hamburg, United States) on 27 March 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

It was so cool to see this family of Bald Eagles out in the wild , I know the picture is not the best but I was so fortunate to capture this I wanted to share it with you guys . ( There was a mom dad and two offspring ) I found out that the kids do not get the white head and tail until they are about two years old .

As Captain Chesapeake used to say " SO LOOOOOOOOOOONG Crew Memebers "

Wow, I've always wanted to see one of those up close but I've had to resign myself to looking at photos of them. Great capture. :)

That is very cool that you caught one of these regal raptors in the wild.

I have often wondered why they are called Bald Eagles? They don't look bald. None the less - your quick shot is GREAT!
