I think a shot I might try to capture with this one would be a sharp focus on the eyes, as the face seems to have so much character. I'm really enjoying this series!

Now this is where Protestants and Catholics may have differing taste in religious appointments. While I appreciate this as art, I find his expression a bit... intense. Of course, Protestant churches that may have framed portraits of John Calvin, Martin Luther, or other of our "saints" on our church walls also run the risk of having similar "intense" faces on display.

I love the perspective and angle from which this photo is captured. It gives me the feeling that he is looking down and blessing a child. Interesting point that VF makes above. I don't think I have ever seen a religious statue of someone who is smiling and exposing their "pearly whites."
