Jrask from Pasadena, United StatesVery nice :) I think a shot I might try to capture with this one would be a sharp focus on the eyes, as the face seems to have so much character. I'm really enjoying this series! 5 Mar 2008 5:06am MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomA great angle, I really like the inclusion of the window into the shot as well as St. Alphonsus. Brilliant Rob. 5 Mar 2008 10:20am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesNow this is where Protestants and Catholics may have differing taste in religious appointments. While I appreciate this as art, I find his expression a bit... intense. Of course, Protestant churches that may have framed portraits of John Calvin, Martin Luther, or other of our "saints" on our church walls also run the risk of having similar "intense" faces on display. 5 Mar 2008 12:01pm Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesI love the perspective and angle from which this photo is captured. It gives me the feeling that he is looking down and blessing a child. Interesting point that VF makes above. I don't think I have ever seen a religious statue of someone who is smiling and exposing their "pearly whites." 5 Mar 2008 3:28pm |
